Built with best practices
from the ground up
When we opened in 2015, we recognized we had a unique opportunity: to build not only a high-quality facility from the ground-up, but also to codify high-quality systems and operations, and to establish an intentional, quality-driven healthcare culture. Borrowing from the best practices around the nation and informed by the community’s needs and wants, our hospital provides healthcare services that address our South Los Angeles community’s most pressing health problems.
High quality
We’ve set high standards for quality and we’re continuously measuring our results and working to improve them. Our patients complete surveys which let us know how we are doing and give us direction to make their stays even better.
High touch
Families and patients come first. We offer a warm and welcoming environment for all. Our large, private patient rooms provide sleeping space for a family member. Our staff is sensitive to patient needs as well as to those of visitors and families. Ours is a culture of safety and customer service. A customer service manager visits our patients to make sure all their needs are addressed.
High tech
To support patient safety, we have smart beds that weigh our patients and prevent them from falling out of bed. Our medical devices are linked to our state-of-the-art electronic health record (EHR). Our nurses carry care phones that alert them to any changes in their patients’ conditions. We implement barcoding and scanning for medication safety.
